The Need for Research in Business School

Source: http://www.mb.com.ph/BSNS20080602126271.html

Well now they understand how to be world class standard. For me it's a slightly bit late for this but as long as you keep trying to achieve who cares right? This is what's pretty much going on with the schools here. They're trying to achieve more and more to be schools capable of world class standard and I commend them for that. It's good that schools strive to be better and the filipino schools here are setting a good example for the developing countries. The only problem I see right now is the "brain drain" concept. Where people here go abroad and try to earn more money and pretty much just leave the country. Without those people which are I mean good enough to go abroad but we need those people to help us revolutionize a stronger upbringing of being world class standard. And of course, without research what can you truly know? If the teachers in class aren't updated, then in the real world we'll be pretty much doomed! So it is important to get enough research for the common good, and to help all of us with business to try to get on top of the business game. I believe that we need to find a way to support research at a higher level and try to be what we dream of being world class standard =)

Please comment everyone! It'll be highly appreciated! ^_^;;

Don't forget that the "brain gain" concept also applies to this reaction. Other foreign entrepreneurs come to the Philippines to invest in business and make a profit.

The "brain drain" still outnumbers the "brain gain" though.
